LuLu was born into a family with a deep-rooted artistic atmosphere, and since childhood, she has had a profound passion for painting and handicrafts. She particularly enjoys the state of complete concentration and pure mind that she can experience in the creative process.

During a trip, she first came to Jingdezhen. Renowned for its exquisite porcelain-making techniques, Jingdezhen boasts a long history of pottery production. For thousands of years, it has served dozens of emperors, firing exquisite porcelain for imperial use. Today, Jingdezhen, as a utopia of ceramic art, gathers over 60,000 artists from China and around the world.

Through her deep involvement in clay creation, LuLu was deeply attracted to this unique art form. For her, ceramic art is not only a dialogue with clay but also a process of showcasing the natural beauty and vitality of clay, a way to revive and unleash the primitive energy of clay. Therefore, she resolutely quit her previous job and chose to stay in Jingdezhen, devoting all her passion and energy to the study and practice of ceramic art.

In this ancient city of ceramics, LuLu met many young ceramic artists who were equally passionate and innovative. Although rooted in the thousand-year-old traditional pottery-making techniques, the works of these artists are not confined to traditional forms but instead integrate modern humanistic thinking and self-expression, showcasing the unique perspective and thinking of a new generation of ceramic artists.
